Better than I expected. 4 pc Crispy Catfish, fries, hush puppies, pinto beans, and fresh cole slaw all for $11. Now thats a value deal. Room for improvements, as always, could be more seasoning in beans, and i prefer my cole slaw with mayo and a hint of vinegar. ”

They checked back with us frequently. The catfish was lightly breaded with excellent body. The chicken was moist but not exceptional. The shrimp with cocktail sauce really left you wanting more. What really sets this place apart were the sides. The relish, made with green tomatoes was summery and light with a slight sweetness. I typically don't eat beans, however I tried a bite mid meal just to see what they tasted like. I must say they became the highlight of the meal. Full, big bodied flavor, perfectly cooked. It is crispy and delicious and I am glad I live far away because I would probably weigh 300 pounds if I didn't. CK is the only fast food I ever eat, but it's really in a class of its own- even if it's decor is hokey and the only kind of lemon they have is in packets. I usually wouldn't take the time out of my day to profess my love for an ugly, bottom feeding, cornmeal covered, deep-fried fish over the internet, but I would yell it from the rooftops if it meant CK could be in my life forever.
